I recently adopted Kint Debugger from Chris Wallace at UpThemes who had taken it over from the original author Brian Fegter. I have another of Brian’s plugins, Debug This, so it seemed like a good fit.
Version 1.1 fixes the integration with Debug Bar that was unintentionally broken in version 1.0. It also adds a way to disable or bypass that integration and adds a filter for restricting its debug output.
If you’re not familiar with Kint, it’s a debugging tool for PHP that display variables and backtraces in an organized, informative way that can really help when things get complicated, as they often can in WordPress core, themes, and plugins.
Similar to Debug This, Debug Bar and its various counterpart plugins provide a wealth of information about the inner workings of WordPress. For developers and hobbyists, using Kint Debugger and Debug Bar is a great way to learn how WordPress works too.
